OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS
Community Artists’ Collective Presents
OFFLINE FV : Film and Video Exhibition curated by Michael K Taylor w/ collaboration
Houston, Tx – OFFLINE FV : Film and Video Exhibition is focused on showing video narratives, short films and experimental films. “Offline” is a two week mini-exhibition of films to be shown at the Community Artists’ Collective this September. Originally conceptualized as a selection of works viewable through the web, collaborations with local film and video organizations has expanded the exhibition scope. OFFLINE FV combines web accessible film and video works selected through our open call but will also feature selected viewings of films presented by groups such as The Territory (SWAMP & PBS) during evening screenings.
Taylor is looking for the relationships between the works submitted, allowing the films to form a series of transitional themes. Films shall be projected onto a gallery wall in the viewing room and sequenced for each exhibition day. Each evening screening will be hosted by local arts and film organizations.
