Legacy Project honors W.C. Handy during Black Music Month
Music-Themed art exhibit opens at The Collective in June

HOUSTON (June 3, 2018)--The Community Artists’ Collective, the Community Music Center of Houston and the Houston Blues Museum will present the third annual Black Music Month Legacy Project June 9-30.

An opening reception and tribute to W. C. Handy, a composer and musician known as the Father of the Blues, will be held Sunday June 10, at The Collective, 4101 San Jacinto, Suite 116, from 3 to 5 p.m. The exhibition features artifacts from the Houston Blues Museum Collection.
